Here at NXT GEN, we don’t only weight multiple programs that can help you achieve your goal but also multiple, proven and scientific ways of measuring them. All coaches, included myself, have graduated with a Masters Degree in Exercise Science and Physiology. This experience and training enables us to apply a practical approach through a clinical lenses.
So many of us can get caught up on the number we see on the scale but measuring how much you weight, doesn’t explain the whole picture. Losing body weight does NOT mean you are becoming healthier. The number you see on the scale is comprised of other numbers that when measured, give you a much clearer picture of your health.
Our Body Composition Measurement Reading is the prefect starting point for anyone looking to get the full picture. This measurement provides you with not just how much you weigh but breaks down that number into how much of your weight is your body fat versus how much of your weight is made up of muscle.
Do you happen to know which one weighs more? The answer is muscle. So if you're looking to get stronger and put on more lean muscle, we are able to gauge how much body fat you need to lose and set goals for how much muscle you're looking to gain. We are also able to measure your arms and legs to get another more accurate reading in order to further set more attainable goals.
Not only do we track body composition, we also love to track Cardiorespiratory health. In order to do this, there are a number of different fitness tests, such as:
- Recording a 1 mile run, row or bike
- Metabolic conditioning workouts
- Measuring your strength gains from measuring increases in external weight of kettle bells, dumbbells and barbells movements
- Measurement of speed and power with our high tech timers and Vertec (vertical jump recorder)

By measuring your body composition and your current fitness levels, we are able to work together to set realistic and attainable goals and start building better habits to get you to be your #bestself.
